The Davos Baukultur Alliance, launched by Switzerland in cooperation with the World Economic Forum, unites public, private and civil society stakeholders around a shared set of principles to improve the quality and culture of our built environment and share innovative practices which address key economic, cultural, social, environmental and technical.

Baukultur sees the entire designed living environment as a coherent whole, from existing buildings to contemporary design, from small handcrafted details to buildings and open spaces to large-scale infrastructures, and from the planning process through construction and operation to reuse.

It recognises the shared responsibility of all involved in transforming it to achieve high-quality Baukultur, with the ultimate aim of providing a more liveable and prosperous environment for all.
